eRROR 404: SKIES BEYOND THE SCREEN

This typography class project explores a six-word memoir of my choosing and asks us to design a card that visually connects to the meaning of the phrase: “Error 404: Skies beyond the screen.” The design reflects the human relationship with digital spaces and a desire to look beyond them.

Using a nostalgic desktop interface aesthetic, I arranged overlapping windows to mimic a cluttered digital environment. The phrase “Error 404” suggests disconnection, while “skies beyond the screen” introduces a sense of escape and openness. The contrast between the structured digital interface and the open sky represents the tension between being surrounded by technology and wanting to experience something beyond it.
